Young Aid International Humanitarian Organization (YAI) is an independent non-government and nonprofit humanitarian organization founded in 2018 in Nigeria. YAI was established to assist the affected vulnerable persons affected by the deployment of the insurgency in north Eastern Nigeria since 2009 causing thousands of residents to flee their homes. Young Aid’s prime motto is providing humanitarian assistance, capacity building and service delivery to the deprived, marginalized, most vulnerable affected by arm conflict and natural disaster.
Young Aid’s actions are based on the values of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities for all people and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable segments of the population women and girl child are soul beneficiary of our intervention.
YAI, through its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively meet the needs of civil population in serious crisis situations, provide mid day meals for children in schools within camps also with particular attention to the most vulnerable groups and ensure fundamental needs such as the right to education, clean water, nutrition and health.
Consequently, the organization’s focus is not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. YAI has piped lined it’s intent of carrying a range of interventions in the areas of education, health & hygiene, child protection, youth & women empowerment, emergency response & preparedness.
A sustainable strategy is devised in accordance core humanitarian minimum standards to achieve the maximum impact in all relevant intervention sectors, a need based and right based approach initiated ascertains the problem with fully community involvement and mobilizing all indigenous and local resources. The program goal are materialized with a helping hand from members donor agencies, Philanthropists.
